Packing & Crating Information for Gabriel Antennas
mWAVE ships Gabriel antenna products and related accessories throughout the world. As a result, mWAVE and Gabriel have developed various types of packing and crating techniques to assure the quality and workmanship of these precision built antennas will be delivered to our customers.
Small Diameter Antenna Packing
Gabriel 1 ft. – 2 ft. (0.3 m – 0.6 m) small diameter antenna models are packed in specially designed recyclable corrugated boxes with a reinforced internal frame for added support of the antenna and mount. Wooden shipping crates are also available for these models on request.
Standard Shipping Crate
mWAVE’s Gabriel standard shipping crates for 2.5 ft. to 12 ft. (0.8 m – 3.7 m) diameter antennas are constructed of wood and are blocked and reinforced to handle the stresses of fork lifts and winches. These crates are well suited for domestic and international shipping.
Heavy Duty Export Shipping Crate
Heavy duty export shipping crates are available on special order. These crates utilize wooden sheathing over the crate frame which allows for added protection and security to the product during shipping.
Multi Pack Crating
Multi Pack Crates are utilized to reduce shipping costs by nesting and block spacing the parabolic antennas when applicable. These crates are ideal for system programs requiring many antennas. The reduced shipping weight and volume generally results in lower shipping costs.
X2 Split Reflector Skid
A more common configuration for export shipments is an optional split reflector designated by an X2 suffix on the antenna model number. For antennas up to 8.500 GHz mWAVE will split Gabriel split a parabolic reflector and reinforce the antenna to ensure the reflector contour. The two halves of a single unit shipment are securely attached to a skid to prevent damage. The shroud on high performance models is skidded separately. A multi version of the X2 is also available. (Split reflectors are available on most models.)
